Once upon a time, in a land far above the tallest mountains, lived a little cloud named Nimbus. Unlike other clouds that were busy bringing rain or shade, Nimbus was always curious. He loved to drift around the sky, watching everything below him—children playing, birds flying, and flowers blooming.

One bright morning, as Nimbus floated high in the sky, he spotted something unusual: the rainbow was missing! Every time it rained, the colorful arch of light would appear to make the sky magical, but today, there was no sign of it.

"I must find the rainbow!" Nimbus thought. He puffed himself up and set off on an adventure.

Nimbus first floated down to the mountaintop, where he found a wise old eagle named Arlo. "Excuse me, Mr. Arlo, have you seen the rainbow?" Nimbus asked.

Arlo, with his golden eyes, looked toward the horizon. "I haven’t seen it today, but the rainbow always appears after the rain. Maybe it's hiding where the rain starts."

Nimbus thanked Arlo and drifted toward the ocean, where rain clouds gathered. But even after searching high and low, the rainbow was nowhere to be found.

"Where could it be?" Nimbus wondered. He flew farther, passing over valleys and rivers, asking every creature he met. The deer in the meadow, the frogs by the pond, and even the butterflies in the garden had not seen the rainbow.

Feeling tired, Nimbus settled near a small village where children were playing by the stream. He overheard them talking.

"I miss the rainbow," one little girl sighed. "It always made the world so bright after the rain."

That’s when Nimbus had an idea! He hurried to the sun, who was gently warming the earth. "Sun, can you help me find the rainbow? It’s missing, and everyone is looking for it."

The sun smiled warmly. "Nimbus, the rainbow is always there. But it needs both rain and sunlight to be seen. Without you and me working together, it won’t appear."

Suddenly, it all made sense! Nimbus rushed back to the village and gathered a few raindrops from his cloud. The sun beamed down, and as the light touched the rain, a magnificent rainbow stretched across the sky.

The children cheered and pointed at the beautiful sight, and Nimbus felt proud. He had found the rainbow—not by searching far and wide, but by learning that some things only happen when you work together.

From that day on, Nimbus knew his place in the sky. He wasn’t just a curious cloud; he was part of a magical team that brought rainbows to the world. And whenever the rain and sun met, Nimbus made sure to be there, right on time, for the rainbow to shine.

The End.
